Our Story

Lubina Kitchens is a proudly independent, family-run British kitchen manufacturer backed by over 50 years of experience in the kitchen industry

Lubina’s story began in retail. After spending more than 20 years building Rose Kitchens, Mike and Dolores Rose recognised the growing demand for quality, bespoke kitchen manufacturing. They established Lubina Kitchens with a vision to create expertly crafted kitchens backed by exceptional service, eventually dedicating their full focus to manufacturing.

Today, Lubina supplies independent kitchen retailers, developers and trade professionals, combining the flexibility and personal service of a family business with the capability of a modern manufacturing facility.

Over the past 30 years, Lubina has grown significantly while remaining true to its family values. The business has expanded from its original premises, outgrown two factories and quadrupled its workforce.

As the company grew, so did its leadership team. Robert Byford became Works Director, bringing extensive manufacturing expertise and helping to shape Lubina’s continued growth. In 2005, Mike and Dolores’ daughter, Emma, officially joined the business, gaining experience across every area of the company before becoming a Director. In 2025, Emma was appointed Managing Director and now leads the day-to-day operations of Lubina, continuing the family’s commitment to the next generation.

Following Mike’s retirement from the day-to-day running of the business, he remains actively involved in an advisory and oversight capacity. Dolores continues to oversee the company’s financial operations, while the business remains firmly family owned and family led, with the same commitment to quality, service and long-term relationships that has defined Lubina since its beginnings.

Lubina combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques to produce kitchens that meet the highest standards of quality, design and durability. Every product is manufactured with care, and every customer benefits from the personal service that has been at the heart of the company from day one.

Built for Growth

A significant milestone in Lubina’s journey came in 2008 with the move to its purpose-built 22,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Designed to support the next stage of the company’s growth, the premises transformed production efficiency through an improved factory layout, increased storage capacity and modern office space, while also providing dedicated meeting rooms and a fully equipped showroom for customer consultations and staff training.

The showroom features 14 inspiring kitchen displays and more than 150 door samples, showcasing styles including handleless, lay-on, in-frame, timber, painted, gloss and matt finishes. Visitors can also explore an extensive range of worktops, appliances, sinks, taps and storage solutions, making it a valuable resource for retailers, developers and their customers.
